I am still planning to write a couple more posts about Olhar de Cinema, which ended on the 20th. But before I get to those, I wanted to do a quick plug that my latest short film, Veredas Tropicais (Tropical Lanes, 2024), will be playing at Cinemateca do MAM, in Rio, as part of the great Festival Ecrã, which starts today and runs until Sunday. The film has been smartly paired with Rachel Daisy Ellis’ Eros (2024), with a single screening on Friday, June 28, at 7pm. It is my third time participating in the festival, and the first time I will be able to attend it in person. After the films, I will be chatting with Matheus Farias, editor of Eros, and film programmer Eduardo Valente.
Those who cannot attend can also watch the film for free at Itaú Cultural Play, as part of an online program curated by CineOP. The platform is also hosting a selection of short films screened at Olhar de Cinema—an interesting post-pandemic development—as well as several other Brazilian films.

Ainda querer escrever mais algumas notas sobre o Olhar de Cinema, que terminou no dia 20. Mas antes disso, meu curta-metragem mais recente, Veredas Tropicais (2024), será exibido na Cinemateca do MAM, no Rio como parte do ótimo Festival Ecrã, que começa hoje e vai até domingo. O filme foi sabiamente programado junto com Eros (2024), de Rachel Daisy Ellis, em única exibição nesta sexta-feira, 28 de junho, às 19h. É a terceira vez que participo do festival, e a primeira vez que poderei estar de corpo presente. Quem não puder comparecer pode assistir ao filme gratuitamente no Itaú Cultural Play, como parte de uma programação online com curadoria da CineOP. A plataforma também hospeda uma seleção de curtas-metragens exibidos no Olhar de Cinema, mantendo um componente online como interessante rescaldo pós-pandêmico, assim como vários outros filmes brasileiros.
