The Rubelle & Norman Schafler Gallery, in Brooklyn, is holding “An Egg in a Dream in a Landscape: Film/Video Faculty & Staff Exhibition,” featuring work by faculty and staff of the Film/Video Department at Pratt Institute, where I’ve been teaching since last Fall. The show opens today, with a reception from 5-7pm, and runs until March 2, 2024.
“An Egg in a Dream in a Landscape” was curated by Emily Rose Apter and Inney Prakash. My short film Construction of a View (Construção de uma Vista, 2021) is part of the selection, alongside works by Simone Barros, GITA BLAK, Jacob Burckhardt, Joanna Claessens, Lisa Crafts, Maya Edelman, Jim Finn, Lorenzo Gattorna, Anton Ginzburg, Kara Hearn, Eliza Hittman, Matthew Hysell, Bethany Jacobson, Sewra G. Kidane, Caroline Lathrop, Deborah Meehan, Matías Piñeiro, Christopher Radcliff, Suneil Sanzgiri, Eric Trenkamp, Joshua Ryan Troxler, Tray Tsui, Sasha Sumner, Justice Whitaker, and Bryan Wizemann.
