- Today, aemi’s touring program Súitú, which includes my short film Contorno (2022), premieres in installation form at The Model, in Sligo, Ireland. The show will be on view at the contemporary art center until September 8, 2023.
- Paula Gaitán’s monumental feature Luz nos Trópicos (Light in the Tropics, 2020) starts its theatrical run in Brazil today, with one daily screening at Cine Marquise, in São Paulo. The film premiered in the Forum section at Berlinale right before the pandemic, and will finally be more accessible on the big screen, where it belongs. I was fortunate to collaborate with the director again on this film, this time as an editing consultant, having worked with her in the past in Os Exilados do Vulcão (The Volcano Exiles, 2013). The feature will tour other parts of the country following the São Paulo premiere.
- The deadline for submissions for the special issue of Rebeca—the journal of the Sociedade Brasileira de Estudos de Cinema e Audiovisual (Socine)—on the cinema of Eduardo Coutinho has been extended until July 23, 2023. I am thrilled to be co-editing this dossier with Cláudia Mesquita and Kamilla Medeiros, which is open for submissions by Ph.D.s and Ph.D. candidates. Rebeca accepts articles in Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish.
- Speaking of Coutinho, my dissertation writing spree is finally coming to an end, so I should return to posting regularly on this website again.

- Hoje, o programa de filmes em turnê da aemi, Súitú, que inclui meu curta-metragem Contorno (2022), estreia em formato de instalação no The Model, em Sligo, Irlanda. A exposição estará aberta ao público no centro de arte contemporânea até 8 de setembro de 2023.
- O monumental longa-metragem Luz nos Trópicos (2020), de Paula Gaitán, inicia hoje sua trajetória de exibição comercial nos cinemas brasileiros, com uma sessão diária no Cine Marquise, em São Paulo. O filme estreou na seção Forum da Berlinale logo antes da pandemia, e vai finalmente poder ser visto por mais gente na tela ecrã, que é o seu lugar. Tive a sorte de voltar a colaborar com a realizadora neste filme, desta vez como consultor de montagem, depois de ter trabalhado com ela em Os Exilados do Vulcão (2013). - Por falar em Coutinho, meu período de escrita intensiva da tese está finalmente chegando ao fim. Por conta disso, devo retomar as publicações mais frequentes aqui no site.
